If you can make a connection between these three things, if you can make that a coherent story, you will experience your life as meaningful. We give you weekly actionable steps to move forward to having the life you love… by design. Put in other words, when we design our lives, we create our purpose and bear meaning to it, and we intentionally craft the lifestyle we wish to lead. Redesign your environment so that it inspires to follow through on that choice. Create a support group to remind you why you made the choice. Make a journal entry about the decision you’ve just made and revisit it every single day.
The lesson from this experiment is that when given the option, the reversible condition is not conducive to creating happiness. So, go ahead and make a good choice, and then make it irrevocable. Many people have beliefs about life which psychologists would label as dysfunctional. If you want to design your life, you need to reframe these beliefs. Design thinking is something that we’ve been working on at the Stanford Design School and in the School of Engineering for over 50 years.
